Fabricating and Erecting the Daimler Trucks Signage at Forest Glen
Client: Daimler Trucks Sunshine Coast
Project Overview:
Shadcon building company based on the Sunshine Coast, renowned for constructing large projects encountered an unusual challenge.
While the construction of the facility itself went smoothly, the fabrication and erection of a very large sign was beyond their usual scope of work. This is where Maintain Coastal Services Pty Ltd (MCS) was called upon.
Project Scope:
MCS was tasked with fabricating and erecting the 450L/meters of aluminium framework for the sign that would encircle the site and mounting the prominent black backboard, making it highly visible from the Bruce Highway. The signage, a standout local feature, can be seen clearly from all points of the roadway.
Key Challenges:
The size and scale of the sign required significant fabrication expertise.
Ensuring the structure was robust enough to support the weight and withstand weather conditions.
The visibility of the sign from the Bruce Highway necessitated precise placement and secure mounting.
Execution:
MCS fabricated the framework using approximately 420 meters of aluminium, ensuring the structure was both strong and durable.
The team erected the framework around the site, adhering to strict safety and quality standards and the distinctive black backboard was mounted ensuring it was prominently visible from the Bruce Highway.
Outcome:
The project was completed successfully, within budget and now the signage has become a well-recognised local landmark that is clearly visible from all points of the roadway. While the logos on the sign are what catch the eye, it is the robust substructure, expertly fabricated and erected by MCS, that ensures its prominence and durability.
Conclusion:
This project is a testament to MCS’s ability to handle complex and large-scale fabrication tasks, providing solutions that go beyond standard construction capabilities. The Daimler Trucks signage at Forrest Glen is not just a sign; We feel it is a great showcase of MCS’s expertise in delivering high-quality, visible, and durable structures.
